Head of School 

The Head of School (“HoS”) is the Chief Executive Officer and first in command in the Bishop Hoffman Catholic School administration.  The role is responsible for directing the day-to-day management of School operations, strategic initiatives for the System, and creating a vision for the successful implementation of the BHCS mission.

Key HoS responsibilities include but are not limited to advancing the ministry of Catholic education to our students; supervising all financial management activities and assessing the financial performance of the School; managing and directing School marketing, development and institutional advancement activities, including development and implementation of Capital and Major Gifts Campaign strategies; and, directing the operational oversight activities that ensure the active maintenance of School accreditation standards, facilities, human resources and the School’s full compliance with government and Diocesan regulatory requirements as well as policies established by the BHCS Governing Board to maintain transparency, legality, and ethical conduct.

With strong and proactive leadership, the Head of School will supervise the School’s Principals and Administrative support staff to provide guidance and accountability in alignment with BHCS’s mission to “To reach and teach the mind, body, heart and soul of each child to bring them closer to God.”  The HoS will establish objectives, performance metrics, and expectations for the BHCS enterprise and will supervise, direct, or actively engage in activities designed to successfully achieve these objectives.  In collaboration with the Governing Board, the HoS will evaluate progress toward these objectives and will foster a culture of respect and excellence that inspires the Enterprise to achieve high performance.

The BHCS Head of School position is based in Fremont, Ohio, and requires occasional work offsite BHCS facilities in support of the responsibilities stated above.

Education, Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • The successful Candidate must be a practicing Catholic

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance or Educational Leadership is preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or executive leadership role is required

  • Experience in financial management, institutional or non-profit development and advancement (emphasis on Major Gift, Individual Giving and Grant Writing) is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, written and presentation skills are expected qualifications for the successful Candidate

  • Documented clear F.B.I. and State of Ohio B.C.I. background report


Desirable Traits and Other Qualifications:

  • Possesses the ability to solicit financial gifts with ease and confidence

  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to think strategically – and to act tactically in support of strategies

  • Ability to motivate staff and stakeholders to understand their role in support of the enterprise in the context of institutional values and mission

  • Live within a proximity of Fremont, Ohio, and interest to become an active part of the community

Part-Time Bus Driver


Bishop Hoffman Catholic School is seeking to hire a Bus Driver for before school transportation and after school activities.  If you have a passion for working with children, and are dedicated to providing the best care to our students, then we want you to be a part of our team.


The position is approximately 24 hours per week.  Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:30am -  8:15am and 2:15pm – 4:15pm and some after school high-school athletic activities with hours to be determined. 




  • Must be 21 years of age

  • Must have high school diploma equivalent

  • Must complete school application and physical examination

  • Must obtain driving record (abstract)

  • Must complete criminal record check (BCI/FBI)

  • Must have C.D.L. license with passenger and school bus endorsements

               or be willing to attend required classes to receive C.D.L.

  • Must have strong mechanical background

  • Must be able to work independently without supervision and have excellent decision- making skills

  • Must have desire and ability to work constructively with others
