1st Grade Teacher

Bishop Hoffman Catholic School – Sacred Heart Campus in Fremont, Ohio is seeking a First-Grade teacher minister for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants should be dedicated to both the faith and academic formation of students. 

The individual must have a valid Ohio teaching license. Candidates must have a desire to teach in a Christian environment, have the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, work collaboratively with faculty members, and have good communication and technology skills.

Chosen candidates must have completed current BCI/FBI background checks and the Diocese of Toledo Protecting God’s Youth certification before the start of the school year.

High School Science Teacher

Bishop Hoffman Catholic School: St. Joseph’s Central Catholic High (BHCS:SJCC) is seeking a High School Science Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This position could be part time or full time. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or valid Ohio teaching certificate. Master’s preferred.

  • A passion for science and a commitment to continuing education.

  • Compassionate and understanding with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a variety of science classes such as: Chemistry, Physics, and advanced classes.

  • Design and implement comprehensive lessons that incorporate a thinking environment that promotes student autonomy for learning.

  • Develop assessments that meet standards and expectations.

  • Provide interactive labs and experiments safely that incorporate content and hands-on learning.

  • Monitor students’ academic progress and any discipline issues while communicating with administration, parents, and other staff, as needed.

  • Support and foster the religious mission of the school including infusing the Catholic faith into the curriculum.

  • Establish classroom rules and procedures and be consistent with implementation.

  • Participate in school events and participate as a chaperone when required.

  • Attend meetings, staff training, conferences, and other ongoing learning programs.

Junior High Athletic Director & Teacher

Bishop Hoffman Catholic School: St. Joseph’s Central Catholic High (BHCS:SJCC) is seeking a Full Time Person Serving 2 Roles: JH Athletic Director and Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in sports management, health, physical education, or related fields. Master’s preferred.

  • Valid Ohio teaching certificate preferred.

  • A strong passion for sports and an enthusiasm for coaching and mentoring.

  • Compassionate and understanding with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities for AD:

  • Ability to manage relationships with coaches, school administrators, and the school community.

  • Skilled at providing motivation and direction to coaches.

  • Communication with coaches to establish games, events, and practice schedules.

  • Establish conference and league schedules.

  • Select, recruit and oversee coaching staff.

  • Maintain orderly, clean, and safe facilities and equipment.

  • Responsible for hiring officials and game personnel

  • Comply with school, OHSAA, and NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Track and communicate with administration regarding eligibility.

  • Communicate with the business manager, coaches, and administration about the overall sports budget and appropriate spending for all aspects of the athletic program.

  • Attend conferences and ongoing professional development including SBC league meetings

  • Knowledge and ability to organize and oversee fundraising efforts.

Part-Time Bus Driver

Bishop Hoffman Catholic School is seeking to hire a Bus Driver for before-school transportation and after-school activities.  

The position is approximately 30 hours per week.  The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:30 am - 8:15 am and

2:15 pm – 5:00 pm and some after-school high-school athletic activities with hours to be determined. 

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must have C.D.L. license with passenger and school bus endorsements

               or be willing to attend required classes to receive C.D.L.

  • Must be able to work independently without supervision
